The beginning of 2018 realizes our 10-year anniversary, which is a significant milestone for all of us at 72 Advertising. Our success and growth over the last 10 years is due to so many factors, including the people who have positively influenced our firm, and the clients who know we will do whatever it takes to put out excellent work. Over the decade, we have created in excess of 75,000 auto dealer special offers and produced over 3,000 email blasts. These are staggering numbers, but they are sure to increase exponentially as we continue serving the website needs of the small business and automotive industry. In the fall of 2008, a series of events presented me the opportunity to begin my own business. I had years of expertise in advertising, marketing, and graphic design, yet the decision to leave my existing company was a difficult one. I ultimately decided that there was a need for a new website business that I could professionally maintain. A friend and businessman, Alex Merino, owner of Pixel Motion, guided me on the path to business ownership. He helped me secure my first clients. With his help, I took the giant leap. Several friends in those early years played a vital role in our survival: Linda Webber, Joanna Stanley, Roger Chammas, Jason Church, Chuck Agner, Bruce Dunigan, and many more. Thanks for trusting us then and continuing the support today. Currently, I have 43 years experience producing quality retail advertising. I understand what needs to be done, and my staff and I get the work accomplished with minimal direction from our busy clients. We are so confident in our services that we don’t require a contract. Most of our clients have been with us for years. Even as we deal with the complexities of advertising as brand marketers, our primary focus is still on influencing our clients’ customers one person at a time through websites, eblasts, website banners, social media, YouTube videos and more. We not only aim at attracting new customers, but at building strong, long-term customer relationships to ensure sustained profitability. As 72 Advertising enters our second decade, we are truly excited about the future. We appreciate and thank our staff for all the hard work in contributing to our growth. And to our clients, thank you for entrusting us with your business. We hold your trust, partnership, and friendship close. We will continue to serve you and look forward to growing with you in the years to come. Sincerely, Paul Thompson Founder/CEO

When I saw this sub-headline in this month's Passport Auto Group IMN e-newsletter that we're working on, it brought back memories of a jingle that I produced for a new Toyota dealer presentation way back in 2004 when I was the Advertising Director with the Van Tuyl Auto Group. Larry was trying to get a brand new Toyota point in Avondale, AZ and I came up with the name "Toyota West" and produced this jingle for the presentation to Toyota. To this day, it's one of my favorite jingles (along with our Alice Cooper "I'm flyin' in my car now, anticipatin' fun" jingle). Click the play button below to hear "Simply the Best": Paul Thompson had a great time at the Courtesy Volvo of Scottsdale groundbreaking ceremony this morning. Thank you General Manager, Jason Church for inviting us to attend this momentous ceremony. All of us at 72 Advertising look forward to helping the Valley's newest dealership succeed. Hove Nissan's general manager liked our home page slides so much, he asked if we could create banners to place outside the dealership. Of course, we can, and did! We had these made and shipped to the store in just 3 days.
Next time you need a banner made for your dealership, contact Paul Thompson at 72 Advertising for a price quote. You'll be glad you did! Back when social media was getting started, every website had their social media feed in a widget on their website. Nowadays, everyone knows how to find your Facebook and Twitter pages if they want to. Don’t distract your customers from what should be the main focus of your website — attracting sales! It’s fine to include a Facebook icon on your site and a link in a drop down menu for your visitors to find your social media, but don’t make them scroll through hundreds of posts and tweets. Your website’s goal should be to have your visitors fill out your contact form or pick up the phone and call you, not be distracted by hundreds of social media posts and tweets. Contact 72 Advertising if you need help with YOUR social media.
This article talks about how some companies and celebrities are buying fake Facebook likes, Twitter and YouTube followers from click farms. According to the article, "If researchers are correct that advertising on social media leads to a high percentage of fake likes and fans and followers, the entire business model could be called into question by advertisers." It is in this spirit that we say thank you and best wishes for the holidays and New Year.
